Nodaway Projected Versus Actual Release
A calculated or scheduled date predicts or authorizes a future step under stated rules. An actual release date records when the person physically left a facility. Those dates can differ. For Nodaway County Jail, a bond order or sentence entry gives legal context but does not show when release processing ended. For Maryville Treatment Center, a sentence minimum, maximum, guideline range, hearing, or Board-set future date is not proof that the person has left MODOC custody.
Pretrial detainees usually do not have a sentence-based projected date. Their path may turn on bond, dismissal, a court order, another hold, or transfer. A short county-jail commitment may have a court judgment and jail-credit calculation, but Nodaway County publishes no universal jail good-time formula or weekend-release rule. Ask the jail for the commitment calculation and actual movement record.
Scheduled versus actual: A minimum, maximum, guideline, hearing, or court date is not the jail-door release time. Confirm physical departure with the custody agency.
Note: Transfer from Nodaway County Jail to MODOC or from MTC to another state institution is departure from one building, not community release.
Find a Nodaway Release Date
Start with the system that has custody. The Sheriff record controls a county-jail movement. MODOC controls a Missouri prison or state-supervision case. The court supplies the judgment, sentence, bond, and later orders. A date lookup is most reliable when those records are compared instead of forcing one portal to answer every question.
- Check the Nodaway County Sheriff’s current roster only to see whether the person is listed as of its human-entered update date. Absence does not prove release.
- For a county detainee or short jail sentence, call 660-582-7451 and request the commitment calculation plus actual release or movement record.
- Review Case.net for the Nodaway County judgment, sentence, bond, revocation, amended order, or other legal authority.
- For a state prisoner, search the active MODOC Offender Search, match identity, and read the assigned place and any date label actually shown.
- If the person is finally discharged and absent from the active portal, use the historical FAK930 file or request a specific status or discharge record from MODOC.
- Confirm a future MTC release or home-plan question with the institutional caseworker or parole office, subject to confidentiality.
The active MODOC search includes incarcerated people, probationers, and parolees but excludes discharged offenders. A field assignment can mean the person is in the community under supervision. It is not final discharge. A no-match can also reflect spelling, another jurisdiction, or a record limit. The wider source sequence appears on the Nodaway County released-inmate lookup.
Nodaway MODOC Date Labels
Missouri’s official historical layout provides exact names that should be preserved. Sentence-I Minimum Release Date, coded as $PC, is the calculated minimum release date for the active sentence. Sentence Maximum Release Date, coded as $PD, is the maximum release or expiration date for that sentence. Completed Flag is documented as Y when the sentence record is completed.
The MODOC Sunshine page links the historical file and data layout. The assigned screenshot documents the discharged-record fallback and those field definitions.
Those fields help interpret a sentence record, but the file does not document a separate actual release-event timestamp or reason.
| Official field | Meaning | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Sentence-I Minimum Release Date ($PC) | Calculated minimum release date for the active sentence | Not a promise of physical release on that day |
| Sentence Maximum Release Date ($PD) | Maximum release or expiration date for that sentence | Not necessarily the date the person walked out |
| Completed Flag | Y means that sentence record is completed | Interpret with the full person and charge history |
| Location function F | Field-supervision assignment | Community supervision is still an active corrections status |
| Location function I | Institution assignment | Shows a prison setting, not a county-jail detail |
Special numeric values also have exact meanings: 99999999 for life, 88888888 for indeterminate or interstate, and 66666666 for a field-supervision assessment or investigation. These values are not calendar dates and must not be converted into one.
Nodaway Release Date Interpretation
Nodaway County contains both a small county jail and Maryville Treatment Center, a state prison setting. That local mix makes a universal release calculator especially misleading. A person held before trial at the jail may have no set date. A person serving a Missouri prison sentence may have several calculated or legal milestones. Someone physically released from MTC may remain active on parole or conditional release, while a finally discharged person may disappear from the active search.
The Completed Flag, Sentence-I Minimum Release Date, and Sentence Maximum Release Date form a date-interpretation set, not a three-step promise. The minimum is calculated eligibility information. The maximum is a sentence expiration measure. The completion flag applies to the sentence record. Court orders, Board authority, holds, and actual facility movement can make the real-world sequence more complex.
When the question is “when will this person leave MTC,” use the exact MODOC record, institutional caseworker, and Board material. When it is “when did this person leave Nodaway County Jail,” ask the Sheriff for the actual release or movement date and time. The systems cannot be swapped.
Nodaway Minimum Prison Terms
Section 558.019 contains offense, prior-commitment, and effective-date rules for minimum prison terms. Its 85 percent provision applies to a person committed to DOC for a dangerous felony. It does not mean every Missouri prisoner must serve 85 percent. The statute also provides a specific alternative involving age seventy and at least forty percent served, and it contains other 40, 50, and 80 percent provisions tied to prior prison commitments and qualifications.
The percentage is a minimum before parole, conditional release, or other early-release eligibility under the applicable provision. It is not a guaranteed release date. Whether an offense meets the statute, which version applies, and how multiple sentences interact require the judgment, offense date, sentence structure, and official calculation. Do not multiply a charge-card sentence by a percentage and announce the result.
Missouri Parole Board time-to-serve guidelines are also not commitments. The Board says it may set a date below or above guidelines based on the case. Institutional conduct, adjustment, programs, risk and needs assessment, sentence structure, detainers, and legal changes can affect timing.
Note: The 85 percent rule is limited to dangerous felonies under the statute; it is not a statewide formula for all sentences.
Nodaway Parole Guideline Dates
The Parole Board Blue Book appendices publish guideline material. The assigned capture shows the official time-to-serve tables and their role as guidance.
A table range cannot replace the person-specific Board decision, sentence record, or physical-release confirmation.
A parole hearing is only a review opportunity. Official material says the Board may set a future release date or schedule another hearing in one to five years. A decision ordinarily takes about eight to twelve weeks. No official public monthly hearing calendar and no public person-searchable Missouri Parole Board decisions database were found. Use the hearing-process page, Board rules, MOVANS notice, direct inquiry, or a request to ParoleBoard.SunshineRequest@doc.mo.gov.
Nodaway Conditional Release Dates
Section 558.011 defines conditional release and allocates prison and conditional-release portions for applicable sentences. Conditional release occurs under Probation and Parole supervision. The person can therefore be physically outside prison but still under a sentence and active state supervision.
The Board may extend a conditional-release date up to the full sentence after the violation process set by law. That authority is one reason an earlier calculation can move. A field-office assignment after MTC is consistent with community supervision, not sentence completion. Final discharge requires the applicable official record.
Earned compliance credit belongs to community supervision. Under section 217.703, an eligible person can receive thirty days of supervision-term reduction for each full compliant calendar month. Credit does not accrue during specified violation, custody, revocation or suspension, and absconder periods. It must not be described as universal prison good time.
Why Nodaway Release Dates Change
A projected date is based on the legal and factual record available at the time of calculation. A new court order, corrected credit, other custody, Board action, or supervision event can alter that record. The source should state which date moved and why.
| Factor | Possible effect | Where to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Amended or vacated court sentence | Changes the legal sentence used in calculation | Case.net and the sentencing court |
| Concurrent or consecutive structure | Changes how multiple terms combine | Court judgment and MODOC sentence record |
| Jail or sentence credit recalculation | Moves a calculated minimum or end date | Custody agency and court record |
| Detainer or other jurisdiction | Prevents community release or causes transfer | Holding agency and movement record |
| Board review or future release setting | Sets later review or an authorized future date | Parole Board record |
| Conditional-release violation | Can extend the date toward the full sentence | MODOC, Board, and applicable case record |
| Data correction | Replaces an earlier displayed calculation | Official portal and person-specific record |
A detainer is a request or authority that can keep a person for another agency. It may turn an expected community release into transfer. The Sheriff or MODOC movement record should name the receiving destination where public and applicable. Roster disappearance alone cannot resolve that question.
Confirm Nodaway Actual Release
For Nodaway County Jail, request the booking or admission date, actual release date and time, release authority or reason, bond details, and destination or receiving agency. The Sheriff’s records-request form accepts a defined date range and case or person details. Case.net can explain the legal order, but it may not show the moment jail processing ended.
For MTC or another MODOC institution, use the active search while the person remains incarcerated or under supervision. After final discharge, use the historical FAK930 data and a request to OD.SunshineRequest@doc.mo.gov. For a specific pending release or home plan, contact the institutional caseworker or parole office. The field officer is the route for an active community-supervision question.
VINELink may provide a participating release or custody-change alert. Its methods and timing depend on the record, so registration is a notice tool rather than a certified date source. The Nodaway County VINELink inmate search explains the matching, reporting-agency, and confirmation steps.
